This position reports to the Interim Lead Desktop Administrator and creates and maintains the institution’s technical infrastructure by performing systems engineering work that is complex, project related, and non-routine, with the ability to solve complex problems and devise work approaches to the work being performed to ensure the long term requirements of systems operations and administration are met under limited supervision.
This position is specifically for desktop administration. The position is responsible for the management of the organization’s desktops, laptops and mobile devices. Desktop administration job duties involve configuring and maintaining Windows imaging, application deployments and patching, BIOS and firmware patching, and operating system updates using SCCM, Intune, Active Directory and Group Policy. This position also handles technical support issues for users and other IT staff as they arise. There is also the potential to include SharePoint administration or Mac administration based on the candidate’s experience and/or career goals.
