Director of Career Services

This position reports to the Executive Officer of Continuing Education & Community Engagement and develops strategy, policy and protocol, administers services, and cultivates relationships for career advising and employer relations efforts for the institution to ensure all constituents receive quality career services support. Strives to create a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive work environment and collaborates with various stakeholders.

The Director is responsible for the overall administration of Career Services consistent with the mission statement.  This includes budget development and allocation, responsibility for comprehensive career development and recruitment programs, supervision and training of staff, developing relationships with employers, collaborating with faculty and staff, and counseling of students and alumni.  The Director shall be knowledgeable of and adhere to professional ethics and standards as noted by the National Association of Colleges and Employers.

Must lead with a vision and understanding of the ever-changing environment of higher education and strategically support underrepresented students as an access-oriented university. Recognize the significance of various stakeholders of students, parents, faculty, and community partners.
