This position reports to the GBOSS (Green Bay One Stop Shop) Front Desk Manager and provides accurate and timely information and advice regarding Admissions, Student Records, and Financial Aid to prospective and current students, alumni, university staff, and general public via telephone, e-mail and face-to-face interactions. Develop and maintain thorough knowledge and operational proficiency in SIS student records, advising, admissions and financial aid modules. Enforce FERPA. The person in this position must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing both the English and Spanish languages.
This position includes the following responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and timely information and advice regarding Admissions, Student Records, and Financial Aid to prospective and current students, alumni, university faculty and staff, and the general public via telephone, e-mail, face-to-face and e-form interactions in English or Spanish.
- Proactively assist students with problem diagnosis and resolution by acquiring additional information, suggesting alternative courses of action and considerations thereof, and explaining the recourse for appealing decisions. Interpret rules, regulations, policies, and procedures for the public and the staff. Achieve proficiency with systems and processes to accomplish the “80/20” front desk service delivery goal.
- Complete projects as requested by supported offices (i.e. Making phone calls to prospective or recently admitted students, preparing mailers for financial aid, or updating student records to include in a particular student group).
- Meet and present in English or Spanish to prospective students and families at campus events.
