Director of Office of Grants and Research

This position reports to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs (Assoc VC) and is primarily responsible for providing guidance to the Assoc VC on matters pertaining to UW-Green Bay’s ability to support faculty, staff, and student research, scholarship, and creative activities, with special focus on infrastructure, engagement, goal setting, metrics, and quality of service associated with extramural funding activities. The Director requires significant compliance experience to the level capable of providing oversight and guidance to both pre- and post-award processes and activities, allowing for comprehensive submission to closeout support and continuity. The Director takes primary responsibility on pre-award assistance to researchers seeking external funding, with focus on assisting principle investigators (PIs) with budget development, understanding, and addressing grant application requirements, assisting PIs with grant applications, interpreting contract and grant terms for their legal and fiscal implications, acting as a liaison between PIs and the funding source, and coordinating the administration of grant funds with post-award operations.
