Assistant Professor – Human Biology

The Department of Human Biology at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in Human Biology.  The Human Biology department is an interdisciplinary academic unit that includes molecular biologists, geneticists, microbiologists, evolutionary scientists, physiologists, anatomists, nutritional scientists, and exercise scientists.

Candidates with expertise in physiology, neurobiology, pharmacology, and/or comparative physiology as well as courses related to the candidate’s specific expertise and interests are strongly encouraged to apply.

This position includes the following responsibilities:
* Teach courses at the undergraduate level in Human Physiology (and lab), Neurobiology, and Introduction to Human Biology.
* Develop a strong research program involving collaboration with undergraduate students and faculty.
* Advise students.
* Engage in scholarly activities consistent with rank and academic discipline.
* Perform institutional service and contribute to the ongoing programmatic development of the department.

In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to a demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching, service and scholarship and a commitment to undergraduate education.  The candidate should also possess communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with a diverse array of students and colleagues.
