Prolonged, uncontrolled stress is detrimental to our mental and physical health. Stress can kill. This presentation reviews the stress response in more detail and highlights the impact on the human body during each phase including discussions on stress induced weight gain, high blood pressure, depression and anxiety. Review of previous stress management tips and strategies will be discussed as well as building resilience to overcome barriers to effective stress management.
