Composer and horn player Michelle McQuade Dewhirst is a Professor of Music in the Sharon J. Resch Institute of Music at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Her compositions range from miniature works based on spam emails to silent film scores.

She brings her wide-ranging musical interests to her work as Artistic Director of the Weidner Philharmonic, which strives to reimagine what orchestral performance looks, sounds, and feels like, one show at a time.
