As of the beginning of the 2025-26 athletic year, UW-Green Bay began a partnership with a new company to provide food and beverage options for home athletic events. On September 10th, the athletic department announced their new partnership with Boomerang Catering, a Green Bay-based company that provides concessions for the Green Bay Rockers Northwoods League baseball team as well as event catering.
With the addition of Boomerang Catering, concessions at athletic events will be upgraded significantly. At basketball games held at the Kress Events Center, there used to be just two concessions locations, located in the northwest and southwest corners of the gym. With Boomerang as the concessions provider, the number of locations has expanded and moved around the gym for fan convenience.

The new partnership with Boomerang is also providing “expanded menu items” and “exciting new food and drink options” for men’s and women’s basketball games, according to a press release published by the UWGB athletics department.
Boomerang has been in operation at men’s and women’s soccer games, women’s volleyball games, and men’s and women’s cross country events, as well as beginning operations with the men’s and women’s basketball teams within the last three weeks.
“We are extremely excited about this partnership for our season ticket holders, our student-athletes and everyone that attends a home event here at UW-Green Bay,” said Sean Daniels, the Senior Associate Director of Athletics.
On top of providing catering services for the Green Bay Rockers, Boomerang Catering provides service to the Cornerstone Community Center in Green Bay and St. Norbert College and are happy to bring their services to UWGB.
“We are excited in expanding our community involvement with the athletic department and Kress Events Center in bringing our friendly staff and quality service to serve the community,” said Kevin Leisgang, the Director of Boomerang Catering.
The UWGB athletic department’s new partnership with Boomerang Catering is an exciting opportunity for a better fan experience with higher quality food, more options, and convenient locations for the upcoming basketball season as well as all other athletic events around campus.
