Studying abroad is more than just an academic endeavor—it’s a transformative journey that shapes worldviews, expands comfort zones, and opens doors to new opportunities. At the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay (UWGB), this journey is facilitated through the dedicated support of the university’s Office of International Education. Two UWGB students, Nick and Dale, shared their personal stories of embracing the challenges and rewards of studying abroad. Their journeys reflect the nuanced process of adapting to new academic and cultural landscapes. Additionally, we highlight the role of UWGB’s International Office in preparing students for their time abroad and in offering continuous support throughout their experiences.
