Ace the Stress and Soar to Success

Stressing in college is a common experience for many students. The pressure of managing finances, time management issues, feeling behind, feeling overwhelmed, navigating a new social environment, and trying to do well academically can be overwhelming. I always remind myself that I am not alone in this entire process. I always try to find support in healthy ways to manage stress, such as practicing self care, seeking support from my family and friends, and utilizing campus resources which I think can make a big difference. Time management is really stressful for me in college. I procrastinate a lot. This keeps me away from balancing time, assignments, extracurricular activities, and personal responsibilities. However, things do not turn out the way you think they would be.

When it comes to college courses, some college courses are challenging and difficult. They often require a lot of time and effort to understand complex concepts and master the material. Lately, I have been struggling with one of my courses, which has made me stressed a lot about It is really hard to memorize things for that course, having to remember every single thing in our body. I have not been doing well in it at all. It is not how I expected it to be. I was really  worried about how the grade of that course would drop my GPA a lot. So I reached out to my professor and talked to her about it. She told me not to stress about it and just try my best to at least pass the class. Secondly, I reached out to my academic advisor to talk to her about it and we discussed everything. She told me that since it is a 1 credit class, it will not affect my GPA a lot, so I should just focus a lot on my other course grades and just try to pass the class, but if I do not pass it, I can just take the class again. However, I always remember that these courses are designed to push us and help us grow intellectually, to tackle difficult courses.

College life is a whole new ball game compared to high school. You have more freedom to choose your classes, manage your time, and explore your interests. You will meet new people from all walks of life and have amazing opportunities for personal growth. It is a wild and exciting ride. In college, you have more independence and flexibility with your schedule. You choose your classes and have more control over your education. The workload is typical heavier, but you have more freedom to explore your interests. Going to high school in a different country and moving to another country for college was always the hardest thing.
In high school the curriculum was generally more structured and focused on memorization. As in high school I had less flexibility on my schedules.

But in college it is totally different. One of the biggest differences is the newfound independence that comes with college. In high school, your schedule is most predetermined, but in college, you have the freedom to choose your classes and create a schedule that works best for you. This flexibility allows you to explore different subjects and tailor your education to your interests and career goals. With this freedom, however, comes greater responsibility. College coursework tends to be more challenging and requires a higher level of self-discipline and time management. You will have to balance multiple classes, assignments, and exams, which may require more effort and dedication than what you were used to in high school. Another significant difference is the diverse and vibrant community you will encounter in college. You will meet people from various backgrounds, culture, and experiences, which can broaden your perspectives and help you grow as an individual.
