Eight Out of Ten???

If I’m asked to rate my overall experience on a scale of 1-10, it will probably be an 8. College has been wonderful at the academic level. As an international student, I have experienced the best resources in college right here. We have nice and big classrooms, kind teachers and even a learning center which provides free tutoring. Furthermore, the people are kind to me, especially the teachers. There are times when I am confused about a simple requirement, but for me, it is a struggle. However, the teachers provided me with patient explanations and additional support to help me understand. In this kind of environment, as long as you have the will to study, everything is supporting you to make progress.

But unfortunately, some things made my college life less wonderful, and I believe it is no one’s fault. As an international student, I do not own a car like most of the students here do. In this way, going out for groceries or a bite of food becomes difficult and expensive. Most importantly, I can’t have fun in town! I am forced to stay on campus most of the time, and with time passing by, it is getting a little bit boring. The only places I can go are the gym, the library, and my dorm. What makes it worse is when the dining hall is closed and I can only order delivery or cook by myself, but obviously, delivery is expensive, and I am a terrible cook. It is a nightmare when this happens. But in total, college has been wonderful and I really enjoy spending time here.
