Believe In Yourself

Going from high school to college is a huge change. There are both good things and bad things about going to college. When you go to college the thing I love most is how nobody judges anybody, everyone lets each other be who they want to be. There is no drama in college and that’s what helps you make friends that will last a lifetime. My first day of college I was incredibly nervous, but there were others there for me to answer my questions. Don’t be scared to go to college because it is nothing like high school. The people are super friendly and the teachers are willing to help you if you reach out to them. Another thing is to make sure that you make enough time to do your homework and study each week. College comes with a lot of work and if you don’t make enough time for yourself to study you will struggle.

College is not hard but not easy at the same time. If you pay attention in class, take notes, study, and ask questions you will excel! But if you don’t do those things you will find yourself struggling. Another thing I really encourage that not a lot of people like to do is getting a tutor. A lot of people think that getting a tutor makes them feel not smart but I promise you that is 100% not what it is. A lot of college students actually have a tutor! They are there to help you and answer questions you have on a certain subject or class that you are in. My main advice for incoming freshmen is to not be scared and believe in yourself. Yes it will be hard at times and you will struggle but in the end you will be thankful you pushed through it. College has a lot to give and if you work hard you will benefit 100%!
