Online Struggles?

For when it comes to online classes many are still deciding whether they should continue to offer them because pros and cons continue to grow. Pros for online classes is that you will be able to move at your own pace completing homework. As well as if you want to continue your college career and must work at the same time it can be very stressful having to drive to school then to work every day. That is beneficial for a lot of people including myself because some people don’t work best with a deadline they are constantly being reminded about. So being able to work at your own pace is one pro that I found useful for my online classes. For instance, I had an online class where I had to write about global politics where the deadline for paper wasn’t until the end of the semester because of how politics keep changing every day. Because I wasn’t reminded constantly, I felt more confident about my work then when I would be constantly reminded.

Cons being that you must constantly remind yourself to do your work for class because you don’t have a teacher there telling when an assignment is due. Last semester I experienced this when I accidently forgot to submit an assignment on the due date because I forgot. During online class for me trying to learn new things becomes harder for me to learn them compared to if I was in an in-person class. Main reason for this being that I’m a hands-on learner and things tend to stick to me better when I do it instead of a teacher just telling and not showing me. Now for me personally I would still pick in-person class over an online because that’s where I feel I would be able to get a better grasp on the things I would be able to learn by being engaged in a classroom environment.
