The institute features workshops and presentations to explore how we may engage all students in high-impact experiences across the curriculum. Thank you to everyone who applied to host workshops and present sessions—we give you: the draft schedule (below).
Keynote + Lunch Workshop
The theme for this year’s Institute – Making High-Impact Educational Experiences for All – could not be more timely. The workshops and presentations will not only inspire attendees to make equitable high-impact experiences, but will give some concrete examples that participants can work into their own teaching practice. In addition, Peter Levine – author of We Are the Ones We Have Been Waiting For: The Promise of Civic Renewal in America – will give a keynote talk and lead a lunchtime workshop. Special thanks to the Center for Civic Engagement and the Tommy G. Thompson Center on Public Leadership, who made this opportunity possible. Plus, there will be a social following the day’s workshops and presentations. All in all a great way to anticipate the Spring semester.
- Workshops sessions will help participants work towards goals set by the workshop facilitators and hosts. Workshops will last 75 minutes.
- Presentation sessions will provide context for how participants can learn more about a teaching and learning strategy. Presentations will be 20 minutes each, and are grouped in sets of three. Presentation sessions will also have 15 minutes at the end for questions.
There is no cost to attend and meals will be provided with your registration. Space is limited, so register below today!
