Researchers have identified eight characteristics of high-impact practices (Kuh & O’Donnell, 2013).
This Spring the Center will run workshops on four of them, with a particular focus on how these characteristics may enhance equity and inclusion in your course. The goal of these workshops is for instructors to work toward implementing these elements in their classes.
Taken independently, they are of interest and will each focus on a characteristic of teaching that is inherent to all classes. Added together, instructors will be closer to discerning the depth of the impact their classes make on learning for all students.
