Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity AmeriCorps Opportunities

Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity is seeking two quality candidates to complete a one-year AmeriCorps VISTA commitment. These are both full-time positions offered through the Corporation for National and Community Service. This is considered a VOLUNTEER position, although a monthly subsistence allowance is provided. Health care coverage, child care, and a post-service stipend or education award are also included.

Green Bay Habitat ReStore:
Responsibilities will include increasing the quantity and quality of products sold through targeted solicitation of donated products for resale. Activities include research and report on potential donors of new goods, develop and implement an online donation pick-up request form, and improve the donor correspondence program. Retail experience is helpful, but not required. A passion for community service, recycling and the mission of Habitat for Humanity is essential.

“A Brush with Kindness” Program Developer
: ABWK is an exterior home preservation program that offers painting, landscaping and minor repair services to eligible homeowners so they can continue to live in safe, decent homes for years to come. Projects include painting, landscaping, weatherization and minor repair services. The development of this program includes the creation of a system to identify and assess need and eligibility of ABWK applicants, develop a volunteer recruitment and management plan and the development of collaborative partnerships to support expansion of the affiliate’s volunteer efforts.
