Hi All–
Welcome to UW Green Bay’s Spring 2012!
Some Housekeeping Items for our student orgs.
OrgSmorg is Wednesday, February 8th, from 11-2 in the Phoenix Rooms. The theme is Board Games. You can start setting up any time after about 9:30 that morning.
OrgSmorg table reservations are open! As of this moment there are only about 25 tables left to choose from. If you org is fully registered, you can get a table for your org by visiting www.uwgb.edu/stulife/cgi-bin/orgsmorg-register_open.asp . If you’re unsure about your whether your org’s registration is complete, check out the “files” section in orgsync– there is a spreadsheet there that’ll tell you yes or no.
After you get a reservation, you might want to beat the crowd and head on over to the banner room to start making your banner. Please remember to clean up after yourselves, and let me know (landrumj@uwgb.edu) if we begin to run short of supplies.
Something old is new again.
Used to be, we had each org fill out a couple of reports every year. We need to start that again in April. It won’t be too painful, especially if you start gathering some data now. There is a file in the “files” section of OrgSync that is called “End of the Year Reports”. Check it out. basically, I need a list of your members for each org., and a listing of any service projects your org has done for the academic year (even if you haven’t done any service projects, I need the form completed and returned). Nothing fancy. We need this info to prepare some important reports for the university, so it is important to make them as accurate as we can get—and to get them all in from you. Please help us out & be ready to turn these things in come April!
Hey— YOU’re supposed to respond to some of this stuff!
So anyway, welcome back! Hope you all had a nice break. What was the coolest thing you did over break? Keep it clean. I took a trial subscription to Netflix, and watched a bunch of old shows from when I was a kid. Nice. Not in the ol’ family budget to keep the subscription, but nice. I know. Boring too. What can I tell ‘ya.
Anybody do any traveling? I think the farthest I went was to Madison to catch the Phoenix Women’s BB team beat up on some other university’s team down there. Org Guy and family are big, big phans of the Lady Phoenix. It’s pretty entertaining and fairly easy on the wallet too. Still, not exactly a trip to Disneyworld, or Scotland, for that matter. Where have you been during break?
