National GO RED Day



Each year 1 in 3 women die of heart disease and stroke. But we can change that because 80 percent of cardiac events can be prevented with education and lifestyle changes.

Calling all people to come and create the largest heart made of humans we can, in order to submit the photo to the American Heart Association’s photo contest.

Help UWGB show support: wear red to raise awareness and help save women’s lives.

Poker Walk – GO RED


Get some exercise by walking the indoor mile route while picking up chips that represent a hand in poker. The best hands win prizes.

Participants get a sweet T-shirt while supplies last.

Come by and sample heart healthy foods and talk to Dietitian Laura Rowell. We will have black bean brownies and fresh apple craisin salad. As well as recipes and opportunities to win prizes!

Blood Pressure Checks – GO RED


Do you know your numbers? Are you 120/80? Do you know what that means and why it is important?

Stop by the GO RED booth on this day and get your blood pressure checked and find out what that all means.

Volunteers Needed for ASPIRO’s 23rd Annual Phonathon

Monday, February 23 & Tuesday, February 24

We need approximately 15 more callers each evening.

(You can volunteer one or both nights)!

A brief training session & food will be served between 5:15 pm & 5:45 pm.

Calls will be placed from 5:45 pm until approx. 8:00 p.m.

To add some fun to the evening…

If you successfully secure 10 phone pledges your name will be entered into a drawing for door prizes!
