The study session wasn’t as nerve wracking as I thought it was going to be. In the beginning of class I played some music to make the classroom an inviting atmosphere and waited for everyone to show up. I then introduced myself and began with the session. The study session was awkwardly quiet at points but we powered through it. I did have a few students that answered the questions the whole time but I tried to counter act that by asking for participation from students that I haven’t heard from yet. All in all I’m pretty happy with how the session turned out, none of my students were rude and all of them payed attention majority of the time. I had few questions asked and most were just reassuring the student’s that they were on the right track or directing them to their notes/specific pages in the text. After hearing about the experiences of the other TA’s, I feel that my study session went rather well.
