UW-Green Bay’s Sampath Ranganathan is one of forty local individuals graduating from the Leadership Green Bay class of 2012 as a strong leader and contributing community member on Tuesday, May 8.

Leadership Green Bay is a community development program of the Chamber of Commerce which  provides a formalized training program for up to 40 area participants who meet one day per month, September through May, to discuss pertinent area issues, including the economy, heritage, cultural awareness, human services, government, and history. Participants organize into small groups to complete service projects designed to enhance awareness of methods to effect change, improve team skills, and make a positive difference in the community.

Assistant Professor Ranganathan was a member of the service group that made major improvements to the Ruth Helf Family Center by renovating areas inside and outside the center in need of a change. The Ruth Helf Family Center’s Crisis/Respite Program is a joint venture between Encompass Early Education and Care, Inc. and the Brown County Department of Human Services.  This center is used by families involved with the Child Protection and Foster Care Units of the Brown County Department of Human Services.

Congratulations Sampath, and thank you for your service to the community!
