BSW Program: Accreditation reaffirmed for 8 years!
Congratulations are in order for the UW-Green Bay Bachelors in Social Work (BSW) program. The Commission on Accreditation for the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) voted to reaffirm UWGB’s baccalaurate program for eight years on Friday, February 8, 2014. CSWE’s Commission on Accreditation is responsible for developing accreditation standards that define competent preparation and ensuring that social work programs meet them. In accordance with the requirements of CSWE’s recognition body, the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, the CSWE Office of Social Work Accreditation (OSWA) administers a multistep accreditation process that involves program self-studies, site visits, and COA reviews. Accredited programs like the UW-Green Bay BSW program ensure that social workers are prepared to enter the profession at the utmost level of readiness to serve their communities.
Congratulations to the Social Work faculty and staff, led by Chair, Jolanda Sallmann. They are truly inspiring students and transforming communities!
