Applications for our departmental scholarships are due this week (March 29, 2013). If you’re interested, please make sure to visit the Human Development and Psychology websites (depending on your major) to learn more about the selection criteria and download the applications. Most of these awards are open to both human development and psychology majors, but two of them are specific to one major or the other. The Matter Memorial Scholarship Recognizing Promise in Psychological Science
The Psychology Department is pleased to announce the new $500 Matter Memorial Scholarship Recognizing Promise in Psychological Science for Psychology Majors with plans to pursue graduate study.
Dr. Chuck Matter served UW-Green Bay with distinction as an Associate Professor of Psychology and as the chairperson of the program for many years. He was responsible for mentoring many students who went on to excel in doctoral programs in psychology, as well as medical and professional schools. As a way of recognizing his dedication to undergraduate students and the field of psychology, his family has created an annual $500 scholarship specifically designed to support an outstanding psychology major who plans to pursue graduate studies after finishing his or her work at UW-Green Bay.
Applications are due April 10, 2012. For more information about applying, please contact Dr. Georjeanna Wilson-Doenges at wilsong@uwgb.edu or 465-2479.
