Advanced Textiles students took over the 407 Gallery for a Campus Common Theme exhibition called “Trashion the Place.” The show features all works of art constructed completely of recycled or repurposed “trash.”
The UW-Green Bay Counseling and Health Center has been approved as an H1N1 vaccination site and vaccine has been ordered. The initial, relatively limited supply of H1N1 vaccine is expected by mid-November and will first be offered to those students, faculty and staff who meet the CDC criteria of high risk individuals, including:
Pregnant women
Persons six months to 24 years of age
Household contacts and caregivers for children younger than six months of age
Healthcare and emergency personnel
Persons ages 25 to 64 who have health conditions associated with a higher risk of medical complications from influenza.
The deadline to register for Family Weekend events is October 23. Family Weekend is November 6-8. Brochures are available in the Office of Student Life, or you can register on-line at http://www.uwgb.edu/tickets/familyweekend.html.

Classes are under way, and now it’s time to mark your calendars for UW-Green Bay’s Family Weekend celebration. We’d like to show off our beautiful campus by offering a wide range of activities, including volleyball and basketball games, a luncheon with Comedy City, workshops presented by students, and much more. Families can explore the Greater Green Bay community by touring Lambeau Field and visiting the Packers Hall of Fame. Family Weekend brochures will be mailed in mid-September. Register by mail or on-line. The registration deadline is Friday, October 23.
