WILDLIFE REHABILITATION

Wildlife Rehab - Small

Members of the Wildlife Rehabilitation class held at  Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary learn how to rehabilitate wildlife brought into the Sanctuary and what they can do to help wildlife in our backyards. Once the course is completed, members may become volunteers in the sanctuary’s wildlife program at the Sanctuary (R-PAWS).

GEOLOGY LECTURES AVAILABLE

Dr. Ryan Currier’s Geology course Power Point slides from this January are now available on a CD disk that can be checked out at the LIR Office.  The course titles are “Ancient and Modern Volcanoes of Antarctica” and “A Geologist’s View of Americans”.  Our thanks to Stu Hoar who did the tech work to transfer the slides to the CD and prepared title cover above for the CD.

OUR CURRICULUM COMMITTEE NEEDS YOU

Volunteers

Throughout the year the Curriculum Committee works on ideas for classes to form the Catalog contents.  Ideas generate from individuals with diverse backgrounds who are willing to explore and discuss them with the Committee. Without such Committee team work this remarkable voluntary LIR organization could not exist. New members are highly sought after.  LIR members are needed to step forward and visit us at our monthly meeting ( we also serve coffee) for some fun while keeping LIR alive and vibrant.  Contact can be made at 920-869-2032 or davidamanke@yahoo.com.  Come visit our meeting at Beautiful Savior Church (Packerland and Cormier) at 8 AM on the first Monday of the month.
