During inauguration week, campus and community had two opportunities to meet their (relatively) new chancellor, Dr. Thomas Harden. The University Union hosted a carnival, with fun, games, Chancellor Trivia and more, while the Founders Association hosted a meet and greet reception which took on a more formal flavor.

The October 30 investiture of Dr. Thomas K. Harden as the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay’s new chancellor will be relatively formal. The ceremony is, after all, based on centuries-old tradition.

When a distinguished group of faculty members and visiting delegates prepares to march during opening ceremonies for the Oct. 30 inauguration of new Chancellor Thomas K. Harden at UW-Green Bay’s Weidner Center, they’ll do so to Prof. Cheryl Grosso’s beat.

The inauguration ceremony for UW-Green Bay’s fifth chancellor, Dr. Thomas K. Harden, will be alive with pomp and pageantry on the stage of the Weidner Center at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30.

There was plenty of wine, cheese and smiles to go around when alumni and friends got together for the Bill Laatsch Wine and Cheese Classic last week. Retired faculty member (and Provost) Bill Laatsch made a return appearance as “The Mouse” for the good-natured event, which is one of the longest standing traditions on campus.

Human Biology major Michelle Gumm (above, left) enjoyed meeting Dr. Herbert and Crystal Sandmire ’80 at the recent Scholarship Reception at the Weidner Center. The Sandmires fund a scholarship each year for a student who is pursuing a career in the medical field.
