RA’s Wanted for First Year College Success Project

Dr. Bartell is looking for 2 students to serve as research assistants for a project that examines factors influencing college success in the first year. RA’s will assist in data collection and data analysis and will get the opportunity to present this work at an academic conference.

Prerequisites for the position include:

  • Junior or senior standing
  • Overall GPA of at least 3.0
  • Completion of either Experimental Psychology or Developmental Research Methods with a grade of at least B.
  • Strong organizational skills, dependability, and the ability to work well in groups

Peer Mentors Opportunities for Fall 2013 First Year Seminars

Dr. Bartell is looking for students to act as Peer Mentors in First Year Seminar courses for Fall 2013. Mentors work with first semester students to help them adjust to UWGB and to develop the skills necessary to succeed in college. Prerequisites for the positions include:

  • Strong academic, communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong desire to serve as a resource and role model for new students at UWGB
  • Overall minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Involvement in co-curricular activities (e.g., student organizations, student life, co-curricular activities, volunteer/service work, etc.)
