Assistant Professor – Nursing

The Professional Program in Nursing at the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay seeks applicants for a tenure-track position.

The mission of the Professional Program in Nursing is to provide high quality, student-centered nursing and health profession education that builds on prior experiences, knowledge, and skills. Students are inspired to think critically and address complex health issues in a diverse and evolving world, conscious of environmental sustainability. These programs transform communities by improving health and healthcare delivery.

Candidates with acute care experience, as well as experience in healthcare leadership, are strongly encouraged to apply.  In addition, candidates with proficiency in educational technology used for online teaching are also strongly encouraged to apply.

This position includes the following responsibilities:

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses delivered face-to-face and online in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Health Information Management and Technology (HIMT), Master of Science Health Wellness Management (MSHWM), and/or other health-related programs.
  • Advise students.
  • Perform scholarly activities consistent with rank.
  • Perform departmental, institutional, and community service, including ongoing activities related to accreditation of programs.
  • Contribute to the ongoing programmatic development of the department.

In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to display a demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and scholarship, a successful research agenda, and a commitment to undergraduate and graduate education.  Additionally, they should possess communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with a diverse array of students and colleagues.
