Today the RA/CA spotlight is on Melissa Reisdorf, or Missy for short. Missy is a french major with a double minor in dance and education.  Missy is an RA in Byron hall and in her free time, Missy enjoys reading, watching movies, baking, and hanging out with her residents.

This is Missy’s second year being an RA and her favorite part of the position is the feeling of community within the RA staff and the community she helps to build within her building. Missy attributes her biggest accomplishment in the position to building strong lasting relationships with her residents and her biggest academic accomplishment is making the Dean’s List. Missy said that this position has taught her a lot about dealing with conflict and how to stay organized.

Missy said that her favorite staff memory would be each year when the RAs go to camp for the night for staff bonding. “Everyone starts nervous.” Missy said. “But leaves with lasting memories and friendships.”

Thanks for all you do Missy!
