Today the Desk Staff spotlight is on Nicole Phillips, a psychology major with a double minor in human development and french. Nicole usually goes by Nicki but another nickname she has is Nic. In her free time, Nicki enjoys reading, participating in intramurals, and is a self-proclaimed online shopping addict.

This is Nicki’s second year on Desk Staff and her favorite part of being on staff is the relational aspect. “The comradely and close relationships we form,” Nicki said “Even with professional staff members.” Nicki said her biggest academic accomplishments are being accepted into Psi Chi, which is the psychology honors society, and her research assistant position that she will keep for the duration of her years here. “. I also just found out that next semester I will be able to do a service learning class that will allow me to teach French to elementary school students.” Nicki said “Super exciting.” Nicki said the most important skill she learned from her time on staff is the importance of good quality communication.

Nicki also shared her favorite memory from her time on staff. “Making ornaments last year for our ugly sweater Christmas party.” Nicki said “And the glittery mess that was the couch area afterwards.”
