Today the RA/CA spotlight is shining on Andrew Pfaff, a Community Advisor for the Roy Downham community. His nicknames include Pfaffy or Pfaff and he is a human biology major with an emphasis in nutritional science with minors in chemistry and biology. In his free time, Andrew likes to fish, hike, run and hang out with friends.

Andrew was a Resident Assistant last year and this is his first year as a Community Advisor. When asked what his favorite part of his job was, he said “Working with the residents and making their transition into college life successful.  I really enjoy working with first year students.” Andrew said that overall this position has taught him responsibility as well as great leadership and time management skills. To prove those skills, Andrew said that while maintaining his position, he also kept a good standing GPA that he is proud of. He also received the Excellence in Programming award for the 2012-2013 academic year.

The last thing Andrew shared was his favorite memory from his years working on the RA/CA staff. “My favorite memory as an RA would have to be the first program I put on,” Andrew said. “It was an ice cream social and many came.  We learned about diversity and got to eat some delicious ice cream whilst learning.  For some reason this program always sticks in my mind.”

Hats off to Andrew! Thanks for all the hard work you do and good luck with the coming year!
