This week’s spotlight is on Elizabeth DuMez. She commonly is known as Liz and her other nicknames include “Lizzie” and “Lizard” Liz will be a junior this fall and is majoring in public administration with an emphasis in Nonprofit Management. She also intends on going to grad school and being the owner/operator of a no-kill dog shelter.  In her free time, Liz likes to go shopping and ice skating, read books, and watch hockey and baseball. She also enjoys listening to music and spending time with her family, friends, and dog.

Liz accredits her biggest school-related accomplishment to making the Dean’s List. She is also proud of her SHA position and how well and quickly she learned and adjusted to the new role.

This is Liz’s first summer as a SHA, but the world of Residence Life is not new to her. Liz has worked in Residence Life since November 2012. Her favorite part of being a SHA is meeting new people. Liz also commented that being a SHA has taught her not to doubt herself and her abilities. “The first weekend of the summer (before training occurred) I faced a lot of struggles” Liz said. “But I learned it all quickly and am now able to do tasks with ease.”

Great job Liz, and thanks for all you do!
