This week’s spotlight is on Tierney Murphy. Everyone calls her Tierney and she is a Human Biology major with an emphasis in Cytotechnology. Tierney said that in her free time she is “reading, watching cartoons, eating delicious food, planning my future out, relaxing outside, and hanging out with my amazing friends.”

Tierney is very proud of her job as a SHA and said that it was a large accomplishment for her. She also said “With the SHA job I have a very important role which is being an Assignment Assistant with Adam Novotny and Wayne Pierre. With this important role I encode cards and make rosters for the campers that come on campus.”  Tierney also shared that she achieved a 3.9 GPA and joined the Phi Eta Sigma honor society.

This is Tierney’s first summer as a SHA and her favorite part of being a SHA so far is “spending time with my awesome co-workers, meeting new people who come to stay at the university, and enjoying the wonderful summer on campus.” Tierney said that being a SHA has taught her “to be patient, to multi-task, how to work in a team, and also to be a leader.”

Best of luck to Tierney this summer and thanks for all her hard work!
