What is a SHA?
A SHA, or Summer Housing Assistant, is a very important part of Residence Life during the summer months. There are eight SHA’s on staff at a time and they are very similar to Resident Assistants in the roles they serve in their buildings. SHA’s work with summer guests, (commonly known as Snow Birds), summer students and those participating in overnight camps as well by monitoring check-ins and check-outs and spending time on call and on duty. SHA’s also help with working at the front desk of the Community Center and assist with sorting mail too. This year’s SHA’s are: Juan Sebastian, Angela, Robert, Tierney, Veronica, Stephanee, Elizabeth, and Rosa. Thanks in advance for all the work you will be doing! If you want to know more about each of our SHA’s, look for the SHA spotlight blogs throughout the summer.
