This week’s spotlight is on Angela Bontempo. Her nicknames include Angie and Ang and she will be a junior this coming fall with an intended social work major. In her free time, Angie likes to crochet, sing, go shopping, hang out with friends and family, randomly dance, arts and crafts, bake, read, and be silly.

Angie credits one of her biggest accomplishments to helping start an on-campus organization called “Unchained”. This org educates people on human trafficking and was awarded an “Of the Year” award as well. Other accomplishments for Angie are learning how to crochet and getting the SHA position.

This is Angie’s first summer as a SHA and her favorite part of being a SHA so far is getting to meet new people. Angie said “I get to know the sweet SHA team and the residents in my building.” Being a SHA can teach a leader a lot and as for Angie, she said “So far being a SHA has taught me the importance of organization, managing time, and being patient. I have been learning how important a schedule is and that if there is a plan of action of when things have to be done I am able to have more time to just slow down and be patient.”

Best of luck to Angie this summer and thanks for all her hard work!
