New Beginnings – The Residential Experience
National research indicates that the first six weeks of the semester are critical to new student success and adjustment to college. Other research shows that students who are engaged in their college experience are more likely to succeed in college and graduate.
Whether you are new to college and housing this semester, or returning for your second (or more) semester, there are many fun, social, recreational, and learning opportunities for you on campus and in your building of residence.
Your Resident Assistant (RA) has planned programs, activities, and events that are specifically designed to help you connect with others, be successful in college, and make the most of your college experience!
Our RAs are especially skilled in providing fun, interactive, and educational programs! Watch for details in your building, from your Resident Assistant and on the housing web site
Some ways you can become engaged in your college experience:
- Attend programs in your building
- Attend campus events
- Connect with others (students, faculty, staff)
- Learn about diversity
- Make healthy living choices
