RA Selection
Do you want to become a student leader but aren’t sure how to go about it?
Apply to be a Resident Assistant (RA)! RAs are students that are trained by the Office of Residence Life to be a helpful resource for those of us living on campus.
Some of the things RAs do include:
•Develop a community on your floor/wing
•Assist in peer counseling (Have an issue with your roommate? RAs can help!)
•Train in leadership development
•Enforce policies
•Help you succeed
They also plan exciting programs to bring the on-campus community together. Some examples include ice cream socials, tie dying t-shirts, and most recently, Justin Timberlake’s 31st birthday party.
Being an RA gives you the opportunity to lead others and make sure they enjoy the place they live.
The applications for this position, which need to include three references, must be sent to ra_selection@uwgb.edu by Tuesday, February 14th at noon. Click here to find out more about the selection process.
So go ahead and apply! Being an RA is a respectable accomplishment that can enhance your educational experience, help you realize your abilities, and build your resume. To learn about other ways you can lead on campus, visit the leadership groups page.
