    Child Protective Services Investigator – Intake Worker

    Manitowoc County Human Services Department is recruiting for a full time Child Protective Services Intake Worker to fill a current vacancy in the Child Protective Services unit. This CPS Initial Assessment Social Worker is a valuable position within the Human Services Department that provides services to referred children and families suspected of child abuse and/or neglect.

    The ideal applicant will have strong skills in engagement and family assessment, as well as being able to build rapport and compassion for the families that are being served. This position will require knowledge and understanding of trauma informed care principles.

    Minimum requirements for this position include a Bachelors Degree in Social Work and certification as social worker in the State of Wisconsin. Related social work experience is preferred. Starting salary for this position $48,975 – $77,449/year.

    Marquette County Department of Human Services has an opening for a full time Social Worker in our Children and Family Services Unit performing general social work with children and families, involving child welfare, abuse and neglect, and youth justice that includes both access/intake and ongoing case management responsibilities.

    This position requires a bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field. Work experience with children and families involved in the child welfare and/or youth justice system, including children in foster care is highly desired. This position will focus primarily on assisting children and their families to learn new skills and more fully realize their potential.
