Employees support UW-Green Bay
February 12, 2010|
Talented and dedicated, UW-Green Bay’s faculty and staff members are this institution’s greatest resource.
Especially in challenging times. With budget cuts, pay givebacks and work-hour reductions hitting at the same time demand for our services continues to climb, faculty and staff have demonstrated commitment and creativity in striving to minimize any negative impact on students and community. Their professionalism shines.
Their generosity does, too. The 2009 Faculty and Staff Campaign was an unprecedented success. Nearly two-thirds of full-time faculty and staff contributed.
We had three units, Outreach, the Eighth Floor and Athletics, achieve 100 percent, and others came close. This made a clear statement — again, in a lean economy — that UW-Green Bay employees believe in what we do and in fully partnering with community supporters to make a strong institution even better.
We thank every individual who made a contribution, and especially those across campus who took leadership as Campaign captains and team leaders: Jeanne Stangel in Athletics; Christina Trombley in Outreach; Don McCartney and Jan Malchow in Professional and Graduate Studies units; Ellen Rosewall, Aeron Haynie, Regan Gurung and Bob Howe for Liberal Arts and Sciences; Shane Kohl in Advancement; Brenda Amenson-Hill and Mike Stearney of Student Services; SuAnn Detampel, Jenny Hanewall, Randy Christopherson, Paul Pinkston, Wayne Walker and Brock Neverman of Business and Finance areas; and Jeff Brunner and Gary Huebner of Information Services units.
I’m proud to be associated with this University and community. — T.H.
