Volunteers Needed for Global Youth Service Day!

Looking for something fun and meaningful to do this weekend? Does your org need to complete service hours? Want some instant karma?

Grab a few friends and volunteer for one of these projects

Friday (April 20)
– Botanical Garden (invasive species removal) 8 a.m.-12 p.m. 10 volunteers needed
– Family & Childcare Resources of N.E.W. (painting rooms) 9 a.m.-1 p.m. 15 volunteers needed
– Earth Week Coalition (playing eco-friendly games with kids) various times 5 volunteers needed

Saturday (April 21)
– Baird Creek (trash pick-up) 9 a.m. to Noon 50 volunteers needed
– Navarino (neighborhood clean-up) 9 a.m. 10 volunteers needed
– Salvation Army Thrift Store (sorting) 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. 10 volunteers needed
– Gathering Place (community garden) 11:00 am to 2:00 pm 10 volunteers needed

This Sunday (April 22)
– N.E.W. Curative (photography collage project) 1-3 p.m. 3 volunteers needed
– Northwest Railway Garden (neighborhood clean-up) 11:45-2 p.m. 10 volunteers needed

Everyone who registers to volunteer through the newgysd.org website will receive a FREE T-shirt and an invitation to our celebration event this Sunday from 3-5 p.m. at the Mauthe Center!!
