Colleges Against Cancer: Great American Smoke Out

October 24th, 2012 by Megahn Daily

Thursday, November 15th

Colleges Against Cancer (CAC) will be hosting another booth space outside the Phoenix Bookstore in the Leona Cloud Commons/West Lobby from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to promote the Great American Smoke Out. This event is in coordination with the annual event put on by the American Cancer Society to end tobacco use and make efforts in the fight against lung cancer and other tobacco-related diseases.

Students will be able to sign “Quit Smoking” pledge forms. Candy will be available for all students who make the pledge to quit tobacco use. There will also be information and support for those students wishing to quit or those who know someone trying to quit.

CAC will also have baked goods for sale, with all the proceeds going to the American Cancer Society, Colleges Against Cancer and the fight for a cure.
