Beth McCarthy, SCA’s Great Lakes Recruiter and 3-time SCA alumna, will be recruiting at UW-Green Bay on Monday, November 9. Beth has the following events scheduled where you can learn more about SCA, benefits, and the application process:

SCA, the Student Conservation Association (www.thesca.org) offers nearly 2,000 expense-paid Conservation Internships positions each year. Participants enjoy exciting and challenging work
and service opportunities in more than 50 different disciplines in all fifty states. Interns have the opportunity to work in national parks, forests, wildlife refuges, and with other resource management agencies. Position lengths vary from 12 weeks to 12 months, and start all times through out the year. All ages, majors and skill sets are eligible to apply. Internships are expense-paid, including housing, travel reimbursement, money for food, and an Americorps Award.

With almost 2000 positions, SCA internships are found in a wide variety of fields, including:

wildlife
archaeology
geography and GPS/GIS
environmental education
backcountry patrol
visitor services
historical research
fisheries
habitat restoration
trail maintenance and reconstruction
resource management
