Honoring our veterans event is Nov. 11

Mark your calendars: Chancellor Thomas Harden will host the 2009 reception to recognize veterans associated with UW-Green Bay and the local community. The event takes place at 4 p.m. on Nov. 11 in Phoenix Room B of the University Union. All veterans, including students, faculty and staff are invited along with dignitaries from the surrounding community. There will be displays remembering POW/MIA and Wisconsin Fallen from the Iraq/Afghanistan conflicts. Also, there will also be a display from the Camo Quilt Project, which makes quilts from the same camouflage material used in uniforms.
