Did you know that we have 3 group study rooms at the Ecumenical Center? AND, more importantly, did you know that you can use any of them to study, do group work, meet, or simply catch up with Facebook friends?
We also have a LOUNGE…for studying hanging out, playing a guitar, or napping. And, we have FREE coffee, too. Yup, you are right.
So BEFORE you run away somewhere else, come check us.

Ecumenical Center is not a church on campus. This notion that you may have heard somewhere is incorrect. With that said, however, the Ecumenical Center IS a center for spiritual development, which provides students from various backgrounds with opportunities to explore, discover and/or deepen their spiritual quest. With this in mind, we offer weekly worship opportunities:
On Wednesdays @ 4:00 pm we have Zen Meditation
On Wednesdays @ 6:30 pm is Midweek Moment of Prayer (Protestant Service)
On Sundays @ 7:00 pm is the Catholic Mass
Additionally, on a weekly basis we have OPEN OFFICE HOURS:
Tuesdays: 10 am to 12 pm, Pastor Curtis De Coste of the Lutheran Missouri Synod has open office hours;
Tuesdays: 4 pm to 8 pm, Pastor Harvey Jaeger of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America has open office hours;
Lincoln Wood, Catholic Campus Minister is a full-time staff member and is (almost) always available to students;
Fr. Tom Long is available by appointment;
Additionally, other staff members at the Ecumenical Center are always available to you…just stop by.
Remember: Ecumenical Center does not discriminate on ANY basis. We do not tell you what is right or what is wrong, rather, we encourage you to figure those things out for yourself. We only ask you ONE question: WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO STAND FOR? But we do not tell you the answer. We do NOT attempt to convert you. We do NOT judge you for who you are. In fact, we just ASK YOU to figure that out for yourself.

When “Star Trek” appeared on many television screens in homes throughout the country no on e had any idea how influential the program would become. The series would lay a blueprint for what humanity can achieve and how it is done. Many of the dilemmas that are featured in “Star Trek” carry over to what is happening in the real world today such as hunger, poverty, and the need of material wealth. Make It So, is a discussion-base program that focuses on the moral and ethical dilemmas that the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise in “Star Trek: The Next Generation” also faced and helped them to understand their own values systems and why they believe what they believe.

Tuesdays- 5pm
A great home-cooked meal that was started over 40 years ago that was just a gathering for simply a “simple meal” with friends and stories were told. Today the tradition still lives on of the simple meal and short story that is inspirational, educational yet real that bonds people together and creates a community. Each week something new is served with a dessert, juice, and much more!
