To qualify for academic credit in the Cofrin School of Business an internship must meet the following three requirements.
- Meaningful Work -An internship should provide a learning experience in a work environment. The job responsibilities must require higher level skills that relate to a student’s career path. Internship credit will not be given for purely clerical work.
- Supervision- The student must be supervised by someone with appropriate education/experience who is qualified to give the student meaningful feedback.
- Reflection- The student and internship organization will be asked to complete a feedback survey at the end of the internship. In addition the student will complete coursework reflecting on the learning component of the internship.
