I'll be there for certain. I'm interested in hearing how others are using blogs and how I might use them in English Composition.

Thanks, Adi, for your comment. The Campus Clean-up Day committee welcomes the help of anyone who also supports GYSD events. However, because the event is only 2 days away, we agree it is late to organize a partnership. Thanks again for posting and good luck with GYSD events.

Hi there. This weekend, April 15-17, 2011 is Global Youth Service Day - the largest service event in the world with millions of youth doing service in more than 100 countries. The Mauthe Center has been selected as Lead Agency (one of 75 nationwide) and has mobilized more than 40 organizations in NE Wisconsin to celebrate this weekend through a series of service projects. We will have more than 1,000 young people doing service ... SO, when I saw the post about the campus clean-up, I was wondering if you guys wanted to count your project under the umbrella of GYSD. Although the service day is dedicated to the youth, we consider young all those who feel young at heart and would love to partner with anyone who may be interested.

Let me know. As part of this effort, we'd try to get you some GYSD t-shirts and also all of the participants are invited to the free volunteer recognition party on the 17th at 4 pm at the Mauthe Center. Food and live music!

I hope we can make this partnership happen. For more info about GYSD, check out a Perspective Page that was published last Sunday, 4/3 in the GB Press-Gazette on this topic. http://www.greenbaypressgazette.com/article/20110403/GPG0101/110404101/Service-day-aims-bring-community-together-while-keeping-tradition-going

Thanks,
