Are you ready to vote on joining a collective bargaining unit? Prepare yourself to make an informed decision if you get asked to unionize.
Parins Law Firm will bring their expertise to campus for a convenient lunch-hour presentation. Their experience includes labor organization representation and labor and employment law. They also represent employers in labor law matters. In the past, they have presented to municipal units such as teachers and police on the topic of collective bargaining.
Prior to attending: Each participant is encouraged to read the UW System FAQ’s on Faculty and Academic Staff Collective Bargaining [pdf] to familiarize themselves with some basic terminology and concepts.
