Would it be possible to consider scheduling this conference at an eariler time instead of right before the semester start? Having it the Friday before the semester begins makes it impossible for all of the Front Desk in Student Services to attend as well as others within the Student Service division-Financial Aid is swamped, Admissions is swamped, just as example. The week of the 3rd or 10th would have offered a better opportunity for individuals to attend. Thanks for considering. Bridget Derge
I meant as an idea for next year, of course.
Thanks so much for your feedback, Bridget. We’ll certainly discuss this with the programming committee. The committee is charged with distributing a survey to Academic Staff each fall to determine the best ways we can meet programming needs. Perhaps it would help to include a question in that survey to the effect of “Which of the following potential Fall Conference dates works best for your schedule?”
