This is an unusual number of summer interns, and shows the growing popularity of our program and the respect shown to our students. Four of these arts organizations have never had an intern before, 2 are new organizations, and the rest are organizations who have used UWGB students many times. Thanks to our wonderful community intern hosts!
Ellen Rosewall, Assistant Professor and Coordinator of Arts Management, has been named an Arts in Crisis mentor by the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. The Arts in Crisis program was developed by Kennedy Center president Michael Kaiser as a way to “provide emergency planning assistance to struggling arts organizations throughout the United States.” Rosewall, one of only two Arts In Crisis mentors in Wisconsin, will work with arts organizations throughout the United States on fundraising, board development, strategic planning and audience development.
Innovative Arts Management, your arts management student org, will host a welcome back to school party on Thursday, Sept. 10 from 11:00 – 12:30 in Alumni A (just off of the main cafeteria in the Union). We’ll have cookies and soda, feel free to get some lunch from the caf and bring it in. Your officers will be there to share information about IAM and welcome you back to school. See you there!
All Arts Management students should subscribe to this blog in order to keep up with the latest news about upcoming events and opportunities. To do so, click on any of the tabs at the top of the Arts Management website except “Home” and (strangely) “Blog.” On the right sidebar, you’ll see a headline that says “Latest Blog Posts” with a little symbol next to it. If you click on this icon, there will be an opportunity to subscribe to the blog.
Welcome to the new blog for the Arts Management program at UW-Green Bay. In this space, we will share news about upcoming events, jobs and internships, news from alums, and other items of interest.
