Reminder: Sutton’s play in July

Searching for Romeo

UW-Green Bay Prof. Brian Sutton’s original musical comedy Searching for Romeo will be performed Thursday, July 12 through Saturday, July 14 in the Jean Weidner Theatre.

According to Sutton’s Searching for Romeo Blog, “The play re-imagines the Romeo and Juliet story from the perspective of the story’s ‘losers.’ That is, the central characters in Searching for Romeo are Rosaline and Paris, two minor characters in Shakespeare’s play who are rejected by Romeo and Juliet, respectively…Rosaline and Paris achieve something that eludes Romeo and Juliet: a happy ending.”

Tickets and info are available on the Weidner Center website.
