This black-and-white shot of early UW-Green Bay is among dozens of 1970s-era images in our ‘Eco U’ photo gallery on the University website. Environmental historian and UW-Green Bay grad Paul Wozniak is compiling a written and oral history of the school’s birth as America’s first eco-university and its continuing leadership on green issues.
As Earth Day 2009 approaches — it’s the 40th observation since the founding event in 1970 — Wozniak and others are celebrating that rich tradition.
